For your safety additional cleaning is being undertaken daily and hygiene stations will be available at the entrance to most buildings. We would appreciate you using these as frequently as possible. As with all public places you will be required to social distance at least 1.5metres from people outside of your household and adhere to building limits which will be indicated on entrances. If you have any questions regarding this information please contact us.

*Your personal information is being collected for the purposes of tracing COVID-19 infections if a case was identified at this facility. If a case was identified, the information will be provided to the NSW Government Health and Medical Research Department or their authorised representative to enable the containment of infection. The information is required as part of the Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order (No 3) 2020. Non supply of the requested information will result in you being refused entry to the facility. You may correct the information at any time during its four (4) week retention period. The information will be kept securely onsite at Maitland Gaol.

CONTACT US FOR MORE INFORMATION
If you are unsure of anything in relation to the site re-opening please give us a call, we are here to help you make the decision whether it is safe for you to return. You can contact us Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00am - 4.00pm and Saturday/Sunday 10.00am - 4.00pm by telephone (02) 4936 6482 or email us [email protected]
DOWNLOAD THE SELF GUIDED AUDIO TOUR BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Maitland Gaol will be reopen to the public for self guided audio tours on your own device only. This means you are unable to loan a device from the site to listen to the audio. As we are not a typical museum this is the only way to learn about the site and its history. If you are able to download the app before you arrive it will make the process streamlined with minimal contact required. If you would prefer you can still download the app at the site using free wifi but please be aware this will increase your contact time and delay you entering. Search the app store or Google Play store for 'Maitland Gaol' now to prepare for your visit.
