Junior Sleuth: Tattoo Tales

Junior Sleuth: Tattoo Tales

Overview

Book the kids into Junior Sleuths at Maitland Gaol where they will learn about how prisoners lived while in gaol and it’s 150 years of operation on this one hour guided tour.

Afterwards, they’ll delve into the work of prison tattoos and what these symbols represent (don’t worry it’s family friendly). Using some of the oldest tattoos recorded in Australia, children will learn what they mean and tell a story using them. As a bonus they receive a temporary tattoo to take home as a souvenir of their time behind bars in Maitland Gaol.

Bookings Essential, suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
