  • Evening Self Guided Audio Tour - LAST CHANCE

    Friday 14 July will be your last opportunity to explore Maitland Gaol at night with a self guided audio tour as part of Under Lights. Take your time to explore the site at your own pace under the soft glow of the security lights. 

    The Gaol will be open from 6.30pm to 9.30pm (last entry at 8.30pm).

    Visitors to Maitland Gaol can experience the site by a self guided audio tour or one of the themed public tours. The self guided audio tours are available seven days a week during opening hours, and public guided tours are readily available on the weekends. The tours take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Bookings are essential for guided tours.

    You can now tour Maitland Gaol using your own smart phone or tablet with the izi.TRAVEL app. Download the free app and use the inbuilt QR reader to scan the unique gaol QR code to access the Maitland Gaol Revealed self guided audio tour on your device. The audio tour can be downloaded in advance or alternatively onsite using the free Wi-Fi available at the gaol.
